The National Translation Center creation

The Center mission is to translate the most important books in various fields of knowledge according to a pre-set program and make them available to researchers, and cultural and scientific institutions.

Over ten years ago, Farouk Hosny sponsored a national translation project under which over 1000 books were translated from 27 different languages in various fields.

The Center was established to ensure institutional continuity of the project and to set a program for the translation of 3000 titles over six phases ending in 2011.
